Please select your windows system.

Next click on the driver you need for download.
The file is compressed to the zip format, so you need to unzip the file before you install the driver.

I recommend to install the chipset driver first and reboot your machine.

There are many models of this mainboard, so the drivers can be different.

Try also to enter the bios, by pressing the del button when the machine boots up.
In the bios you can tell what MS XXXX number the mainboard has.

In seach for the drivers, if i am incorrect.

Just enter the number in the seach field, and press go.
The mainboard number is sometimes placed on a sticker just below the power supply.
Try also google seach when you find the ms 4 digit number.

N1996 does not help in the seach field.
This type of mainboard has been used in the brand: HP, Hewlett packhard and some others.
So a seach on the manufactures site of the pc is also an option.

A lot of people were looking for N1996 board drivers, thinking that N1996 is the model number for their MSI products, such as MSI motherboards, optical drives, VGA cards and etc. Well, that is not the model number because it is not possible that alot of products sharing the same model number, right?

According to MSI official website, A C-Tick mark (see above) may also appear on MSI products that are required to comply with Australian electromagnetic compatibility requirements and radio-communications standards.
It signifies that the product may be legally sold in Australia. Now it requires EMC compliance must be marked with the C-tick logo and ACA supplier code number.ACA supplier code for MSI is N1996. The supplier (in this case is MSI) is responsible for holding a Compliance Folder that contains compliant test reports and a Declaration of Conformity.
This is more about ACA supplier code. According to ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority), Supplier Code Number means the number issued to a person by ACA or ACMA upon application for registration to use the compliance marks (A-Tick or C-Tick).
So now you know that N1996 is the FCC identifier code for MSI products. There is no way to identify the correct model number by just referring to N1996 alone. To find the exact MSI drivers, you need to find out the correct MSI model numbers, for example here are few of the correct MSI model numbers/codes, hope you can see the pattern here:
