Monitor wont turn on, just green flashing light.

Ok so this happened yesterday also.
The monitor was turned off, but the PC left on. I went away for a few hours and came back and the PC was still on but the monitor would not turn back on.. and the power button was flashing green/orange.

Yesterday all i did was restart the computer, unplug the power from the monitor and replug it back in annd it came good... but today it didnt work.

Ideas?

Connections all look fine. Tried 2 other monitors and they worked fine.

I cleaned out the case this morning, ill try the monitor again later and let you know how it goes.

Double check that all yor connections are tight. Open your PC case (unplug it) and ensure that all your fans are clean. It appears that your problem is due to loose cable connections, but this may be a good time to do some computer spring cleaning.

If you tried two other monitors and they worked then you most likely have a bad monitor. You'll need to compare the cost of repairing the monitor vs. purchasing a new one. As a general rule I never recommend that a customer should attempt repairs on a monitor. It is much safer to let a pro fix it. On the other hand the cost of monitors has dropped drastically so it may be toime to treat yourself to a nice LCD flat panel.

Since you have tried another monitor with your computer, then we can only assume that your LCD monitor had gone bad.
If the light is green but you can't see anything on the screen, then most likely the backlight has gone bad. Unless you want to take the monitor apart, I would suggest buying a new monitor.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Sounds like either there is a bad connection from the computer to the monitor, or the monitor has a faulty power regulator, causing the monitor to overheat prematurely, and shut off.

Screen Goes Blank

Ive seen this on other monitors. Look for a 1 and 2. Some monitors do NOT auto detect a signal, and this one might not. Look for a way to set the monitor from Digital input to VGA input. Try that and see.

Monitor not working

It may well be dead. Try testing the monitor on another working PC. Also try a working monitor on the problem PC. Then you will know whether it's the monitor or the PC graphics card that's faulty.

Monitor randomly going off...

Have you tried it on another computer or tried a different monitor on that computer. It could be the video card. If it's not the video card it is the inverter board inside the LCD case. Go to this site for a diagram of how to open case and remove board. You can either order a reburbished board or send your in for repair.

Hp laptop wont restart

please connect your laptop to external monitor.
if it works with external monitor, then the problem is with your laptop monitor driver.if that is the case, then re-install laptop monitor drivers.
if it doesn't work even with the external monitor, then re-install graphic card drivers.

Pop goes the weasel

I agree. The monitor probably blew a capacitor.
Time for a nice new LCD monitor.
