WOW, this sounds so familiar, try changing the CMOS battery, I got the same exact error mess in a old packard bell i refurbished for a friend and a simple change of the cmos batter solved the issue, it even let me install xp with not problem,, its worth a try.... :)

Pc wont come on says it can not locate winnex

hi if you have a windows xp system you should try to boot by menu
pressing f8 at bios boot screen to select the option that fits better to your needs
since you are not giving more detail of what happened to your system..
you can try also a do a recovey thru the discs restoration or at boot thru recovery partition if you have it include in your hard drive..

Easynote will not go past packard bell screen

You may need BIOS update. Check your CMOS time at bios page.
If time is wrong, set it up and try again. If this is solved the problem, change the CMOS battery.

My packard bell laptop requires a boot up cd-rom

put the bootable xp cd in your cd rom then turn it on. it will boot up automatically if the cd will be bootable and your boot sequence is correct.

Packard Bell Easynote M5255 - Will not boot up

option f2, go into bios setup and see if the hard drive is listed or detected. Auto detect hard drive save and exit. System will reboot if the same error occurs then the hard drive master boot record is probably corrupt or the hard drive has totally failed.

Easynote mv35-202 locked at f2 screen

you have to set the hard drive first if there is any one detected if not there is bad hard drive and you have to replace it
