Sandisk MP3 player sansa model c140 not working.

The database seems to be overloaded while rebuilding the files info and playlists.

When linked to the computer there are 2 different connection modes possible:

• MSC mode seeing the player as a removable disk using Windows Explorer.
• MTP mode seeing the Sansa player as a Media device using software like Windows Media Player.

When connected to your computer, go to your My Computer folder, and right click on your Mp3 player. You should see "Format Device". This wipes the entire thing. All music will be gone, but it might reset it.

so your mp3 player is full of songs. you dont have enough free space to run the mp3 player or put anymore songs on it. so delete a few.

You should format the device using windows media player or the device itself..that should fix the problem you are having..remember formatting will delete all the date you have on the device..

I would recommend that you format the device and then load everything back again..you can use your computer to format it..

try formatting your device then try to put mp3 files on it. check if it works. on your my computer right click you mp3 device ( it is usually a removable storage) then select format.

All you need to do is delete a few of your songs off, 2 or 3 should be enough.

i had exactly the same problem and than i wrote the guys on www.sandisk.com they had my device replaced.

hmm... try hooking it up to the pc, go to my computer find the mp3 click explore go to music and select it all and delete it then try again it might help

When you delete files on the sandisk it just moves them to an invisable folder labeled .trash inorder to free up some space you need to delete the files inside this invisable folder. if you are using windows then plug in the device and open it. go into you folder options and make sure it has show hidden files selected. If you are using a linux os then go into your view menu and select show hidden files. this should make the .trash folder appear. hope this helps.
