Try reset all in camera menu or remove battery & reinsert or contact Fuji for exchange or repair. They sometimes go back on their own if you turn power on & off try gently twisting/pushing lens but be gentle with it.

My camer will power up say battery low but shows to be full but goes off and will not come on and charge.

How old is the battery? Batteries do die with with time. Be sure to replace it with a manufactures battery, not an aftermarket one.

Can you fit a sigma fit lens onto a nikon f mount camer. i have some great lenses on my old sd 10 but have gone over to nikon cameras

If the lenses were for the Sigma camera, then unfortunately, they will not fit onto a Nikon camera. Sigma makes lenses for various different mounts; the operative word is "different."

Nikon coolpx L5 turns off when taking photo

Did you drop your camera? Did it get bumped or knocked around? It sounds like either you have a senor that is out of alignment or going bad, or you dropped your camera. Did you check you battery? Is it fully charged? If you want to fix your camera, I have a friend who fixes them.

Help me !!!!

Contact the makers customer support.
The likely cost of repair however will be near the cost of simply replacing the camera.

Lens problem

I have had the same problem with a different camera, the problem started when I did not have sufficient battery charge to turn the camera off completely. The camera shut down, but the lense did not retract.
You can try a few things:
First try remove the batteries and holding the power button as if you are going to start the camera, then reinsert and try again. (make sure they are fully charged first)
You can try connecting the camer to the computer before you turn it on. Connected to the computer the camer goes through a slightly different start up procedure.
Try switching it to playback mode on restart.
If these fail I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve, but need to know the answer to these questions:
1. has it suffered water damage?
2. has it been dropped recently?
3. what happend when the lense did not close properly? Is this the first time?
4. Can you access the menus when "restart camera" is on screen?

HELP!!!!!!!

The E18 error is fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for about 50% of lens errors, but they're worth a try:
