I have recently bought a new lap top with Windows 7 OS system and am having problems getting my cannon inkjet pixus 2000 to connect to it. If i use the cd install it says it isn't compatible, i've tried to download the driver and now when i use the cd it says there are known issues with this device and windows 7 and doesn't install. Do you know how to resolve this?

First, uninstall the printer software that was installed from the CD. Next, download the latest driver from http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010093.asp. If your laptop is new is is probably 64 bit. Make sure that you download and install the 64 bit version. The default versions on the CD and from most download sites is the older 32 bit version.

After installing the driver from the canon website - do i still need to run the original CD installation? Or is that no longer required?

Do not run the original CD and make sure that you have completely uninstalled anything left from your previous attempt to install the drivers from your CD

New OS is 64 bit versus old one at 32. Might need a different driver for different OS since 32 bit drivers will often not work on a 64 bit system.

Unable to install XP OS to MSI lap top

Insert your installer to the lap top then try to change the boot up priority by entering the bios. Try to press del key while your lap top boot. If these deosn't wok try F1 or F2 thesame process. If you have enter the BIOS, look for the boot priority which includes the First Boot, 2nd Boot and 3rd boot. Change the 1st boot to CDROM and the 2nd boot to hardisk. Then save the changes by pressing F10. your PC will reboot and it will direct you to the OS installation.

Your printer is able to run using the OS on your computer, right? New laptop running 7? old printer? You may want to check the MS compatability listing at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

If you had Winxp operating system earlier then you will need a Printer driver for WinVista Operating system.
You can download it free of cost, download it from the bellow link:

Click on

AIO_CDA_Full_Non-Network_enu.exe, (1/1 , 159.05M) and download the same and install it completely untill it says congratulation. Good Luck

HP812C and/or Epson LX300+ dot matrix Printers installed to a HP V3431 lap top computer would not print.

Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer websites rather then relaying on the old cdroms - they are probarbly outdated and made for XP.
