Bosch washer dryer model E-NR.WVD24520GB, this keeps showing an error message of E17, when I have chosen a programme to DRY the clothes only, please can you advise why? I have just opened the front-loading door and the clothes inside were soaking wet! as I had chosen a washing cycle programme.

if you use fabric softener sheet,there is two small metal chrome stip take a wet rag clean them off,they are locate on the in side of dry drum close to dry grill on inside,those sheet can leave a film on those stip are your sensor for the auto cycle on the dryer

I`m assuming you have not received any error code from the dryer since you didn`t mention that, but would I be correct ?

Have you tried both timed dry and auto dry settings ? If this happening in both setting`s it will help narrow down what to look for.

Are the cloth`s typically spun out really well by the washer ( and is it a Bosch Nexxt as well ) before entering the dryer ?

When the washer shows error code E17 you need to turn the tap fully on and check that the supply hose is not bent or jammed up, next make sure the filter is clean. Then make sure the water pressure is not too low. After you do all that, run a load with no clothes in the washer and use one cup of white vinegar and the code will dissappear
