Can't find code for sylania lcd 37' tv

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network, and I see you are trying to program the DISHremote to the Sylania TV. Please go to tuning menu and select Auto Scan/ Auto Tuning to tune all available channels to store in tv memory.
Factory reset actually delete all data/ settings in memory chip and set tv as it was in-box.

Many universal remote control codes can be found on InsigniaProducts.com or you may use the scan or learning feature to find a working code for your TV. You may also wish to consult DirecTV about the possibility of upgrading.

you may be able to do a manual scan ion each channel which is similar to auto scan.
Its normal for auto scan to select random channels when scanning.

You may just have a bad remote or the IR sensor in the TV may be bad. Bring the remote to a store that sells Protron and try it. You may be able to get a new one if it is bad

Which 'universal' remote have you found that listed codes for Olevia??
And, if you have a TV shop in your area at all, they will likely have an IR (infrared) detector made to check remotes for output. The simple ones do not check for coding but will tell you if the remote is putting out any signal at all. Of the two ends, the receiver is typically more reliable than the transmitting end in your remote. 

You did not say what the Make and Model of the remote is. Most remotes of that type will also have a Scan feature. You would scan the codes one at a time and watch for the TV to turn off, then store that code.
