SOURCE: Have a canon digital elph sd750. Pictures are now blurry.
You could have cracked the lens, damage the focus or a number of other things but the lens and focus are most likely. check your lens for scratches if there is none and no cracks take it to your nearest camera store or buy new good luck!

The only suggestion I have (that might not be a camera fault) is to make sure that you have not left the camera in Macro mode. This is a special extreme close-up mode offered by some cameras, and it does not allow autofocus on objects at normal distances. The icon for Macro mode is a little flower. On my Canon, this is selected on the left hand edge of the ring around the FUNC. button.

You may have gotten dirt or dust into the lens mechanism. Sometimes an air cleaner can help the situation.

Hi,
I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble. This is a common problem. These symptoms indicate a ccd or main board connection defect or both. I would advise you to contact Canon and complaint the same. In the past, there were few recalls for faulty CCD sensor, though not sure if they are still honoring that.

Unfortunately, there is no home repair. The unit has to be sent for repair. Try to call Canon and negotiate on the repair cost unless investing in new camera is the only option.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
