Epson CX5400. I have 2 and both are giving 'error'red light and message 'scanner error' see documentation and caqll service if necessary'. I have rung an Epson Service centre and they say it is not repairable if there is a scanner fault. I do not use the scanner.

2. Lift the scanner cover.

3. Toggle the transportation lock five times, ensuring that it is in the unlocked position, towards the back of the scanner.

4. Turn on the printer, and the error should be cleared.

Epson cx3200 printer has printing problem

Hello cockie ,

You can diagnose most problems by checking the control panel LED's for ink out, paper-out or copier problem.
If a problem occurs while you're printing, you'll see an error message in the progress window on your computer.
It may also be helpful to try running a printer nozzle check.

See the following message problems and solutions:

Error Message Probable Cause No color or black ink cartridge - - >
Press the Color Copy button to install a new ink cartridge.
The indicated cartridge is not installed or it is installed incorrectly. Color or black ink out - - >

Hi,

I just like to ask to where specifically you can see the red light. It will help us determine what cause the red light. To give you heads up as well, the Printer's LCD screen can help us determine what exactly the offline condition of the CX3200 is:

Error Message

normally flicking the transportation lock on the scanner open and locked a few times and leaving it in the open position works.
also you can download a better version of scan software, mine works fine now.
