HTC Wildfire. 1 week old. Weather widget has stopped working. All i get is a message saying 'No weather data available'. I've tried refreshing and turning the phone on an off. I live in a large city so location shouldn't be a problem and its only stopped working in the past couple of hours. Any ideas how I could fix this?

SOURCE: I have a HTC touch pro 1 and I am having problems

Ok,
for images : check your MMS settings if there's any restriction sizewise.
for music : insert desired music file to phone or memocard root menu. Your phone support .mp3, .wav files. Use built in Music trimmer to make ringtone(should be up to 30 sec.)
for weather: not all town are in database, some countries have only capitals displayed.
Get app called Advanced Config Tool and you'll be abble to do a lot of tweaks in your device.

SOURCE: I accidentally removed the clock/weather

It's actually a pretty simple way to add widgets back to your home screen.

Long press a blank area of your home screen. A dialog box to Add to Home will appear. Select Widget, and then select Clock [HTC]. You will be able to select from 12 different HTC Clock widgets. Select the one you like, and then press the Select button. It will appear on your home screen as long as there is enough room for it. You can move the widget around by long pressing on the widget and sliding your finger to the desired location on the screen.

Good luck.

Widget what does it mean

In Android, the word widget is a generic term for a bit of self-contained code that displays a program, or a piece of a program, that is also (usually) a shortcut to a larger application. We see them every day on web pages, on our computer desktop and on our smartphones, but we never give too much thought into how great they are. Widgets first appeared in Android in version 1.5, and really gained traction thanks to HTC's Sense-flavored version of the operating system. Prior to the release of the HTC Hero and our first taste of Sense, widgets were functional, but pretty bland in appearance. Since then, manufacturers and independent developers alike have done some marvelous things with widgets, and it's hard to imagine using Android without them. Android widgets come in all shapes and sizes and range from the utilitarian 1-by-1 shortcut style to full-page widgets that blow us away with the eye-candy. Both types are very useful, and it's pretty common to see a widget or two on the home screen of any Android phone. A full-page widget, like HTC's weather widget for late-model Android phones, tells you everything you need to know about the current conditions, and is also a quick gateway to the weather application where you can see things like forecasts and weather data for other cities. At the other end of the spectrum, the Google Reader 1x1 widget watches a folder in your Google Reader account and tells you how many unread items there are, and opens the full application when pressed. Both are very handy, and add a lot to the Android experience.
Most Android phones come with a handful of built-in widgets. Some manufacturer versions of Android offer more than others, but the basics like a clock, calendar, or bookmarks widget are usually well represented. This is just the tip of the iceberg though. A quick trip into the Android Market will dazzle you with the huge catalog of third-party widgets available, with something that suits almost every taste. With Ice Cream Sandwich supporting things like higher resolution screens and re-sizable widgets, it's going to be an exciting year seeing what developers can come up with.

The HTC sense display with the time date and weather disappeared from my home screen and I want it back. It was like a live wallpaper that changed with the weather.

Touch and hold a blank space on the screen and you will get options to add Applications, widget , settings etc . Select widget and select Clock ( htc ) , swipe towards your right and find the one that you are looking for .
Thumps up if this has helped .

Have HTC hero, it will no longer connect to data/internet, I tried disconnecting and reconnecting thru the options, but it still will not pull up web page on browser or weather for that matter on front...

It sounds like you have turned off the Mobile network option (that is the data option for Sprint, other carriers might be different).

Try this, add a widget to your screen that will turn on the data connection:

-long press on the home screen > Widget > Settings > Mobile network

This will place a widget that will allow you to turn on and off the mobile network. Make sure it is on and then try your connections again.

Good luck.
