There are many problems that will prevent the ice maker from working. It could be frozen over, the inlet water valve could be inoperable, the harvest thermostat may be bad. If you can remove the ice maker, you might be able to tell what might be the problem.

Dirt in body of icemaker water supply valve. OR. Ice maker timer stuck when it selected "add water to icemaker.
The first solution is simple, change icemaker water filter and disassimble valve to clean.
The second is simple, buy a new icemaker.

IT is either your inlet valve which is cheaper than replacing the icemaker, when you replace it(located behind panel on back of fridge) make sure you do not have ice build-up in the water tube behind icemaker. If that does not work than you will have to replace icemaker. If you take a flathead screwdriver and pop the cover off of your icemaker you will either have a screw that you can manually turn to test the icemaker to see if it is working. There is one you can do this with, the other one you would need an icemaker tester that most tech's have. Good luck!

Icemaker seems to be working now.
I think that moving lever and switching on/of helped. I see and hear that it is producing ice now.

You will have to determine whether the problem is due to no water getting to the icemaker or a control problem in the icemaker unit.

There is a water valve near the bottom of the refrigerator where water from the outside source enters the refrigerator. This valve sends water to the icemaker (and probably the water dispenser) when the refrigerator controls call for water. These valves can malfunction, and the water lines can get blocked.

The other possibility is that something inside the icemaker controls has malfunctioned, and it is not calling for water.

The icemaker is not working because the water pressure is too low. An icemaker is controlled by a timer so it has no idea how much water is in it. The water valve gets energized for about 7 seconds letting water in the icemaker, but if there is no water pressure then the icemaker will not fill.

The laser , is supposed to blink . This laser , tells the icemaker to stop making ice , when the bin is full . Pour about 2/3 cup of water into the icemaker . If it doesn't dump the cubes into the bin , the icemaker is bad . Or , if there is ice in the bin , which hasn't dumped , the icemaker is bad . If the icemaker dumps the ice ( from water pour ) , then look above the fill cup , and see if the black fill tube is frozen . If so , then replace the water valve and turn the freezer temp down slightly . It will take several days for this fill line inside freezer to thaw . If icemaker dumps , and black tube NOT frozen , replace the water valve . The valve , is where the wall water line connects to on the refrig .
