See if the memory card is locked or your card reader slot of your laptop is working fine with any other card. If yes, then your card might have been damaged. You'll have to buy a new one.

M9 wont see more memory installed

ok remove on stick of memory from the new installed memory

restart computer and check how much is there

what you are seeing sometimes happens with mismatched memory sticks based on maker or speed

double check that memory all has same speed rating

I have Toshiba Satellite A305-S6898 and I could not read Sony Mamory stick pro duo card from 2gb when I put in front of my Lap Top.I think that i need some driver

You will need the Mass Storage Drive to be able to read memory cards. Go to the Toshiba download center here:
http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp?nav=Download
Search your laptops serial number at Laptops>>Satellite>> and download the mass storage driver.

Ok... so i had a problem earlier with my toshiba satellite pro involving hibernation, but now it wont boot up when i turn it off, or put it to sleep either... the power light comes on, but nothing works....

OK 3 things needed to boot a PC...
Memory, Video and CPU...
Easiest thing to do first is try and swap out a memory stick. Hopefully you have a burnt out stick of memory.
Open the memory slot and hopefully there are 2 sticks try one then the other.
When you say nothing works I am assuming you can't even get into the bios.
If you are talking about not booting to windows that is a completely different story. But for now I'd try the memory thing.

I have a toshiba satelitte L30 10Y and have tried to put maximum memory in it. My problem is it will only recognise 1gb sticks at a time and when 2 sticks are in it will not boot at all. both sticks work...

I suggest to use only 1gb stick on your laptop. Some of the machine don't require to upgrage memory size from the original size due to system limitation and this will some leads to system hang or wont able to boot machine at all.

Wont recognize new memory?

First try to reseat the memory, if it is still showing the same amount, then you may have a bad stick of memory, remove both and insert 1 stick into Dimm 1 slot and see if it still registers 894, then put the other in the same slot and see what it registers. Then try in the Dimm2 slot and see if you get a different reading Depending on the manufacturer, it may only show that amount since Windows shows memory different that the memory manufacturer.

Hope this helps.

Toshiba sattelite

The problem must be the amount of total memory. Maybe the board supports only 1 gig. Chek the manual.

Toshiba EA60 laptop wont go in boot sequance, its stop after toshiba logo and gives a black screen with blinking curser in top lef corner

Its probably not the BIOS but the board warping beneath the CPU Socket or similar.. Dont flash it (BIOS) or it will probably kill the chip. Let me look up the model number...
