MY finepix s5000 fujifilm camera has a white screen displaying when i turn it on, is there anyways i can fix that problem with out haveing to take it in.

If it can fixed, Fujifilm themselves will have to fix it.

Actually it's not the sensor it's the LCD screen. I would say in the last two weeks the camera didn't change but the environment it is being used in has and is causing the camera to overheat.

Keeping the camera within these perimeters should solve your problem.

I think there is a small button on the back of the camera near the bottom that turns the viewfinder off and on I think. It should be in the manual.
It might have gotten bumped while in the bag.

I just started having the same problem with my S5000, also.

if u see white screen and lcd show info and signs and pictures also turn out to be blank when u see them on pc

dont worry i have the same problem with my S5000 i contacted fuji and they repaired it free of charge bcoz it is a known problem in thousands of cameras of different brands just call them in ur area and they will do it free of charge

if u take pics and they are also white in color and blank then my friend CCD failure! has occured just email FUJI or call them in ur region where u are get info at www.fujifilm.com they will repair free of charge it is the manufacturing fault , i had the same model S5000 and had the same problem and i got it repaired free from Fuji u have to call them , even thousands are facing the same problem all brands , they are repairing free of charge regardless to the nature of warranty see this link

There is a little blue button next to the LCD button, directly above the display screen. There are alot of controls when you press, like color, B&W, shutter speed, etc. Thanks

Either way, that's the FujiFilm website, so it should be somewhere. All I found was updates for different versions (i admit i didn't spend too much time looking).
www.fujifilm.com is the original website, so I recommend you go the go, select country, select camera, etc instead of typing in the link above (it will probably be dead.....it always happens).

the problem might be inside. when cameras are dropped cable connections inside loosen. try to bring it to your local camera specialist and have it checked. if you open it yourself it might cause more damage.
