Try removing the ice bucket and ensure that there is no obstruction (ice cubes stuck inside of metal blades). If no obstruction, then your problem may be in the electronic dispenser control board (if applicable) that distinguishes between cubed and crushed ice. If it appears that the problem is the board, then contact an appliance service company.
The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is
acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3
seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is
not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order
to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied
to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water
to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount
of water fills the ice tray.
its the ice maker .water or condensation has built up in the ice maker modual and refroze upon turning unit back on.either get a new ice maker or uninstall the ice maker and let it dry for a few days and reinstall.but it could happen again that way.or maybe not.
hi. thanks for the question. is the arm on the ice maker in the up position. it could be stuck in the ice cubes. the arm has to he up to stop the process thanks the appliance doc.
Mine started doing the same thing. The problem with mine was that the part that spins around to eject the ice is hung up... first, it was trapping an ice cube in it... I cleared the cube and it stopped making noise for a while, then a cube hung up again. Now I found that one of the 'teeth,' all the way to the right, was stuck under the housing... the part is bent, and needs to be replaced.
Check the part that spins to make sure nothing is stuck. Service is expected in home soon (I hope).
You may have ice built up in icemaker where the water goes into it. You will have to remove the icemaker and to get the ice cleared out. Once that's done, you should be ok.
