I recently signed up for Verizon Fios TV service and have a Verizon DVR. The Verizon remote will not work with my AKAI 32 inch LCD TV model LCT3285TA . Do you know of a brand of Universal remote that will work with my Verizon DVR and my AKAI TV ?

Get a Logitech Harmony, Programs on the computer and has every kind of device you can think of, I have Verizon FiOS TV service and my HD DVR Programed to it as well as the rest of my equipment.
Target sells a GE Universal Remote Control, 5 Device with learning feature. I can't say if it works with your Verizon DVR, but its code for the Akai LCT3285TA is 1139. If you have the Verizon's remote, you should be able to use the learning function to make the GE control it - that's if the GE doesn't have a built in code that will work for this DVR.

I had dish network installed but can't use my new remote to turn the tv on and off I need the Akai code to program my new dish remote
I have tried all of the codes given by Directv and none of them allow me to use my Directv remote to change the volume or turn on/off. Also the buttons are getting very worn on the AKAI remote, I have purchased two universal remotes and have had zero luck making them work with the AKAI. Help!
