Help please! my mp3 player won't receive my new songs..
I recently dropped my sansa 250 mp3 player by accident. All the songs I had put on the mp3 player recently began to say "bad track", so hooked my mp3 plyer up to the computer. When I did all those songs came off my mp3 player. When I tried to put new songs back on the mp3 player it would show that they were going onto the mp3 player, but when I unhooked it from my computer the new songs were not there. What should I do?

Hi,
You may need to update the firmware on the device. The data base on the device could be corrupt. Follow the instructions in the given link: Updating Sansa Clip's Firmware
Go to My Computer and then look for the Sansa 250 icon there. If it doesn't show up, unplug the USB cord and plug it in again. Once you have the icon visible in My Computer, click on it twice and open it up. To load content, go to wherever you have MP3 files or whatever and use Windows Explorer to copy the content from your computer to the Sansa. You can also manage it through Real Player or other MP3 players (Media Monkey).
Recovery mode:
first, Create a blank file with filename "sansa.fmt", put the player to recovery mode this way = you have to enable the hold key then plug it to your computer while holding the record button. you may release it after you see 'welcome the recovery mode'.
Then drag-drop this file, the file will tell the device to format itself after you unplug it
mormontazzy, plug in your sansa e200 then go to "my computer" on your computer find an icon that says sansa e 200(it might say sansa e250) click on it and go to a file that appears that says media then click on the songs file after that get all of your songs from itunes and drop them into this file if tat doesn't work then take all of your songs from itunes and dropping them into widows media player
I don't know about converting the MP3s to WMAs, but I had the same problem with "corrupt files."
What fixed that for me was instead of dragging and dropping files onto the Sansa, I synchronized them using Windows Media player, but only do 10-20 songs at a time, because if you try to do too many, they probably won't show up. I know it's tedious and annoying, but that's what did it for mine :) I hope this helps.
You dragged & dropped files in recovery mode?
Recovery mode is only for re-installing the firmware or formatting the device if it is unresponsive.
If you are wanting to drag and drop files onto the device, the music needs to be put into the Music folder on the device.
If you do not see the Music folder, you will need to enable hidden files and folders on your PC.
Best of Luck.
p.s. - you can add to this question this doesnt work.
Hey to get music onto the Sansa e250R you have to plug the Sansa into the computer. Next go to mycomputer. Then onen ethier sansa or Removable Disk(F:). Then take the songs you want and drag them on to the white space under photos and vidos and all that other files. DO NOT PUT IT IN A FILE.
It might have reformatted the songs by accident. Just try to redounload the songs you want and dont download the ones that you wanted to delete in the first place. This happens a lot with Sandisk e250 mP3 players
