Answering machine doesnot work phone doesnot light up

There is a switch on the side of the machine that says how many rings before it should answer. Make sure it is not set to "never". 3 or 4 rings works best.

Panasonic KX7633 is a Key telephone set, it doesnot have answering machine function. whereas you may divert your calls toan analog extn.by call forwarding.

If it did work before and it is not working now, then you should ask your telephone company about it.

Possible solution.

I have the same problem -- I returned the phone and got a new one. 3 weeks later, the power went out -- same thing. Light flashes but phone won't work.

I called Panasonic and they advised me to remove all the batteries from the handsets, and unplug all the bases for 'a few minutes'. This did nothing...when I plugged everything in, answering machine still would not work.

I spoke to my brother who is an electrician, and he said the base has a 'capacitor' in it, and will not drain down (so phone can be reset) unless it's unplugged for at LEAST a few hours. He suggested I unplug everything and remove the batteries and leave it all overnight. Will attempt this and let you know if this is a resolution.

No further help is needed. I unplugged the wire from the answering machine and cleaned the connection, plugged it in again, and Voila!

go to menu...tools...settings..personalisation...display scroldown...light time out change its to 5 seconds.

Still problem.
switch off your mobile, remove your battery for 16 seconds
put it back again.

answering machine not working on the base station

I have a 2.4 GHz cordless phone and I misplaced the manual. The answering machine went off. I would like to know how to put my voice on the phone.
