Have you tried the reset on the 1st menu page? Are you clicking the right button on the 4 way directional pad? use left and right to highlight and up and down to change. Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Lee
Lee:
I'm confident I'm using the 4-way correctly.
I've now re-set the camera, but with no result.
Lee:
I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!! The camera re-set now seems to have worked and I'm back to JPEG Fine.
THANKS MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND PATIENCE!!!!!!!

Hi there,
Well it seems that problem is occur due to low camera memory, as you said in your question that you take many of the pictures in RAW file format, so first of all we suggest you to delete some of the pictures from memory and then try again.
If further you have the same problem then you may try to reset your camera to factory default settings (note. resetting the camera will delete all the settings and data from phone, so please make a backup first before resetting).
Good Luck!!
Thanks

My comment is that the first answer is incredibly poor! I did not say I took many images in RAW. I only took 8! Secondly, what "memory" was refered to? This camera doesn't have an internal memory; it uses CompactFlash cards and the one in use has space left for 264 images in RAW! Is there someone available who is familiar with changing "Quality" settings in the Dimage A1?!!
Lee the Deuce came up with the correct solution, that being re-setting the entire camera system. I've tried many other things in the last couple of days with no result at all.
THANKS!!!!!!
