try this with the tv off simultaneously press and hold volume minus on the tv's front panel and clear on the remote control for 5 seconds then enter a new password good luck
to unlock the parental control on a Telefunken TV that has a blue screen and a red padlock on the top left hand side, hold down the display button on the remote for 10 seconds and it works
Somehow in handling the remote control I pushed a button or combination of buttons and now have a blue screen with a lock symbol in red in the top left hand corner. I've tried turning the tv off, and unplugging it, as well as a combination of buttons on the remote, but it still is there. What do I need to do to remove the lock?
It sounds to me like a child lock function, which is usually what the screen + padlock is on TVs. Usually your original remote would have a button / sequence to unlock the mode. If you still have your original remote, look for a child lock button or refer to your remote manual (and/or TV manual for the child lock feature) to unlock the mode.
