Hi ngwhite,

The trouble code F5 is a Watchdog and hardware conflict. You need to replace the clock (ERC).

Hope it helps.

White maytag gas and broiler wall oven is flashing F 7, what does it mean?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F7 error code is displayed when the clock assembly/electronic range control (ERC) goes bad and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Maytag gas oven has an F1 code. Model # CGR3740ADW.

The F1 code on a Maytag electric stove means the electronic range control, clock or touch pad is defective. You or a technician can do a test to determine which item is broken, but you must replace the electronic clock range in models where the touch pad and range control are one part.

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

I checked both types of Maytag oven fault codes and they both come up with the same fault.

Sadly this is telling you the Clock assy / ERC has failed.

F5 Supervisory relay enable open (cook mode); sounds alarm and resets the control to non-cook mode Replace electronic range control (ERC

F5 Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)

The clock assembly is item 1 this link:

Hi. This code is the result of a shorted, or open(circuit) oven temperature sensor device. You will need to Check the sensor harness and harness connection between the oven sensor and oven control. Replace the oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
