The tv is a 50vf820 it has a green tint to the picture. I've adjusted the tint and color but it don't change still green tint to the whole picture.

change the color wheel, the one in the tv might be broken, remember color wheels come as part of the light engine hence u will need to replace the whole light engine unit

Its a DLP type set that uses a lamp for a light source.

With the color turned to zero stand back and examine the image.

If mostly all green or areas are green you may have a issue with the optical light engine--either damaged inside from the heat of the lamp or the portion that processes red, green, and blue information bad.

Adjust the tint, contrast and color settings on the TV remote control to determine if these changes solve the problem.

Go to menue on controller, then Picture, then adjust Color and Tint to you taste. The color ajusts Blue and Green move left more blue move the slider right more green. The Tint controlls red. More red move right less left. Also chech Color temp setting.

Go to the back of the tv and make sure all of the Component plugs are fully inserted and also on the source Ie: Cable Box or Sat Box,DVD Player.

Take time to get used to the settings, you may think the screen looks dull at first. The truth is most people have way too much contrast on their TVs.

Hopefully someone on here has a manual and can tell you exactly where the tint controls are. Also need to try adjusting the color level, turn it clear down so you have a black and white picture.
Is the picture still green over the screen with the color control
set clear down to black and white? If it does, you might
have an issue with the green gun going out or problem in the
circuitry to it.


By the way, the best way to adjust the picture settings on a
tv are to first turn the color control clear down, then adjust
brightness and contrast for best black and white picture, then
bring up the color level to where it should be and adjust the
tint for best red/green ratio.
