Mitsubishi ws-65807 no sound or picture

I doubt it as it was never designed for that kind of input, Component works best on this set and it should have only one HD input for a box marked in the menu as DTV.

Thats usually a vertical issue since the menu still works. I would check the solder on the vertical IC and also the Vertical yoke plug pins. Often solder can develop a small crack around the pins and resoldering will usually fix the issue in most cases. The other item could be a leaky CRT has dripped some coolant on some of the components in the vertical circuit so I always check the board for any sign of a clear sticky residule on the boards which indicate dripping CRT coolant.

Well i need more info. have you tried unplugging the tv for around 60 seconds? Was the "warped bluish screen" right before it died. Or is this when you turn it on it happens?(Bluish screen)? Because if no power at all and no picture at all. Could be Power supply. If you have some sort of picture with blue lines that are stable? You have a convergence problem. it could be the bulb the lights u are seeing should be green not red.

Your TV has "poor" connections on the Convergence IC's. Please get repaired B4 you have total part failure and more costly repair.

push qv and 9 on your remote and a screen will come up and follow the directions to correct your problem.

yes sounds like a convegence issue.

Try using a DVD though the component input (need a 480P out ). If the pix si ok I wouldsuspect the cable box. If the problem is still there I would suspect a video switching IC or a Leaky regulator.

maybe you have a magnet near it?
