GE advantium SCA2001FSS

My Advantium turntable rotates only intermittently. I suspect the motor or a partially broken ceramic square shaft that extends up from the motor at the bottom of the unit into the oven itself that the turntable assembly sits on. I've looked for a part schematic in order to identify parts that may need to be replaced with no luck. Any help here? It is a 220V 1100-1200 watt oven. Model no. SCA2001FSS 02

Thanks

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel, which is very helpful when troubleshooting.

I have a GE Advantium 240 Volt. I can hear the Turntable motor moving But the turntable does not move. Suggestions? .

Many microwaves drive the turntable with a tiny belt.
Sounds like yours is broken or has jumped off the pulley.
God bless your efforts.

Why is my GE Advantium SCA2001 blowing the main fuse?

Yeah pal, you've not gone deep enough yet. You'll find a power wire bare inside the unit, pull it apart and tape that wire up to stop it from grounding out and blowing the fuse.

I have a GE profile advantium oven 120 that is just over 1 year old the turntable rotates but as soon as I put on the glass or mental tray it will not rotate what is the problem?

Either the coupler is cracked, the motor is defective, or the turntable support ("rotating ring asm") is worn or defective.

The service manual is here and you can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts here.

it is automatic, you can not turn it off. it is placed there so that the food you are heating is heated evenly. not on one side only.

Advantium Turntable On and off

I would suspect the motor is failing, but it's also possible that you have an issue with a door switch or door switch mount, depending on your model number.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven. You may have to cut the cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.
