Use the format command in the setup menu. See this page of the user guide. Make sure you're using an SD or MMC card, 2GB or smaller. This camera will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.
Just as I suggested. The Z650 works with SD cards, not SDHC cards. Most likely your old card was 2GB or smaller and your new card is 4GB or larger. Try using a 2GB SD card. You can clear internal memory by deleting the pictures it contains. Download them to your computer first if you want to preserve them. You can get rid of all of them in one shot by using the "Format" command in the Setup menu.
The Z650 works with MMC and SD cards, not with SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. The M380 will work with SDHC cards, but the Z650 is limited to cards 2GB and smaller.
The Z650 is designed to work with SD cards. Your 8GB card is actually an SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) card. While an SDHC card will fit into an SD slot, it will not work properly. You'll have to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.
go to the menu and push (format memory card) then a a warning will come up that says (Warning Formating card will erase all that is on the care) push OK and it should format in might take some time !!Good Luck!!:)
Turn On camera -Press Menu, scroll down look for setup then press Ok button.
-Under setup menu scroll down again and look for format then press Ok Button -Under format highlight or choose Internal Memory then press Ok button -It will format or clear the internal memory
