Almost any new digital camcorder will work great, but you want to make sure it has a high speed shutter setting.  Set the shutter speed as high as possible (which means you'll need a lot of light... day light is perfect).  You're still only shooting 30 frames per second, but each shot will be sharper (less motion blur) as the shutter speed increase.  High-end cameras can go up to as much as 1/10000th of a second, but even 1/500 would be great.  Standard, default shutter speed is 1/60th.
For playback, you can use the same camera with a remote control.  Just press play, then just before the swing press pause.  Then use the frame advance button to move 1 frame at a time.  Multiple presses of the frame button will increase the speed... to slow motion.

Good luck!

How can I get the slow motion effect from MXF 60p recorded by P2 HD Camcorder?

Adjust the frame rate in a converter will not give you a slow motion. The tools I know can do this is Cinema tools, it can confirm your 60P file to 30P slow motion. But you can't import MXF directly into Cinema tools as it only supports ProRes codec. So you can use Pavtube MXF converter for Mac to convert the MXF to Cinema tools format and keep the original frame rate, then import the ProRes file into Cinema tools for confirm.

You can download a trail version from below.

Canon ixus 75

Unfortunately, no. By recording in fast mode, the camera captured fewer frames than usual. When played back at the normal speed, the action appears faster than normal. Because the camera recorded fewer frames, there is no way to make up for the images that were not captured. You could slow down the playback, but the result would be a jerky, jumpy video.
Now, if you had accidentally captured the video in slow motion, you could then throw away some of the intervening frames and recreate a normal-speed video.

Advancing one frame at a time during playback on LCD screen

If I were you I would feed the video from the camcorder into your computer via the dv link cable where you can edit it frame by frame using ulead or similar.

Difference between MPEG2 and MPEG4?

MPEG2 video is DVD-quality video comparable to digital camcorders. The picture data is transferred at a rate of about 30 frames per second, for a beautiful, smooth motion image. It will show up on your SD Memory Card as ".MOD" or ".MOI". MPEG4 video is suitable for use in a compatible PC, viewing on a TV, posting on Web pages or attaching to e-mail. It is inferior to MPEG2 in smoothness because the number of the frames transferred in MPEG4 is less than that in MPEG2. However, MPEG4 has a higher transfer rate, and a much smaller file size, than MPEG2. It will show up on your SD Memory Card as ".ASF", which stands for Advance Systems Format files.

Jvc 200u problem recording to vhs video tape, from camcorder

Yes, if the camera is a US camera then it is NTSC. That would be your problem, you are trying to record an NTSC signal to a PAL video. THe frame rates and resolutions are all wrong. I am even surprised that it is playing back on your TV okay...
