JVC DLA X3 Warning light issues

I have a similar problem. JVC Project (DLA-RS1) shuts off after about 30 min to 1 hour of use. Everything turns off - bulb, fan, even the little light on the projector near the buttons. After 10-15 min the red light comes back on and you can start the projector.

I have seen this happen when I had installed a knock-off bulb. I believe the bulb runs a little hotter and the projector over heats. Now I am seeing it happen even with a JVC bulb.

I am in the process of taking the cover off the projector to see if anything is blocking the air flow (like a piece of broken bulb, which did break a while back). If a problem doesn't show up there I am going to check the fan to see if it is turning at full speed (maybe replace with a beefier fan?).

Does anyone have instruction on dis-assembly?

Go to the registry and delete the lower and "upperfilters"for the CD/DVD drive option. you can access it by going to this option. REGEDIT >> HKEY Local Machine >> System >> CurrentControlSet >> Control >> Class >> Select for the option which is the first {4D36.....}. After deleting the upper/lowerfilters, close the Registry Editor and restart the laptop. Then there try inserting a blank disc or any disc. Thank you.

Try uninstalling Roxio and the Sonic drives and run Fixit. Then reboot and install Roxio first then the Sonic driver.
If this doesn't work uninstall again as previously, install Roxio and check the CD/DVD if necessary run Fixit then install Sonic driver.

I think u can identify this problem by checking step by step. At first change ur cd brande. If probelm still
then setup windows.. then try to write.

You have given very little information regarding the actual driver, I do know that there was an issue with the original Roxio DLA.

You can uninstall the DLA or Drag to Disc feature in programs and features, or install the upgrade patch as per this dell link

you might need to remove upper and lower filtrs with filtercheck 4.6
then repair sonic dla (if it has sonic burning software you use)
