There are two types of Reset options for the DSC-H9 Sony Camera, one is power reset and the other is Initialize. Follow the steps below to power reset the Camera: Remove the batteries from the Camera and then press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds. Then, reinsert the batteries after 1 minute.
Initialize: To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera to OK. HOME-->SETTINGS-->MAIN SETTINGS 1-->INITIALIZE-->OK
The video or images are being recorded too bright or too dark.
Solution
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot if the video or images are being recorded too bright or too dark.
IMPORTANT: If additional information is required to perform any of the steps below, refer to the operating instructions of the camera. The operating instructions are available in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport web site.
Remove any accessory lenses that may have been installed on the camera.
Manually adjust the exposure setting of the camera or use a different Program AE mode.
Adjust the white balance of the camera.
Verify that any special picture effect features are turned off.
Take pictures or shoot video in a location with different lighting conditions.
Check if the issue happens previously captured images only or the newer ones. This is confirm if the issue is not with the memory stick.
You can also capture the images in the Internal memory by removing the memory stick.

First try resetting the phone to factory defaults..... After that if the sound still persists, it could be because of the interference of the external sounnds with the microphone of you camera.....Just try reducing your camera volume to nil.....And if the problem still persists, it could be the problem with the hardware...
