I've put in a new battery. Label on the old battery says "short the new battery (+) to the AC pad." What/where is that pad? I re-assembled the watch and get a blank screen, no action when I push any button. [email protected]

You need an eyeglass to find it. It is located on watche's plate, usually yellow colored dot with writing AC next to it.

JSprings Movement, Seiko VF62, battery change

Shortcut battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs.

Timex Rush Indiglo Watch: shorting the AC pad to the battery

If you take a jeweler's lupe near where the arrow is you will see the word "reset" in the plastic.
There is a deep hole in the plastic with contacts below. That is the reset, and that is why you must use very sharp pointed tweezers to make contact with the back of the battery.

I think if you do not have sharp tweezers, you can probably put a sewing pin down the hole, and then connect with a small screwdriver to the back of the battery..

How can I reset the "short AC pad and battery (+) on timex expedition

You know where AC pads are right? If you don't know, look at the sticker. there is an arrow on the sticker. An arrow points out 11'oclock.
After insert the bettery, you just touch the golden pads with metal screw. that is how to short AC pads.

After replacing a battery in a timex ironman with data link, they tell you to short the ac pad and the vss pad. Were are those points located?

You will find them on the module itself.
So after replacing the battery look on the PCB (printed circuit board) for the letters"AC" and "VSS". Adjacent to these markings there should be little contact points (probably gold or silver looking in colour)
Use a paper clip or similar and bridge (short) these two points simultaneously. Please rate my solution.

Battery change and then reset

If you open already the watch, and you want to take the old battery, there is a clip that's lock the battery twist that lock.then the battery comes out and replaced with a new one. If you have already put the battery and no display you must reset it by shorting battery connection,in the plate there is arrow guide to the hole where you put your tweezers to short the connection.then the display appears 8888,that is already resetted take the tweezers..
