try to contact ur service provider nd check ur formalities is proper or not.....

In this case, most of the times the SIM card is at fault. Check the SIM card in some other phone or try some other SIM in this phone. If some other SIM works in this phone or the SIM doesnot work in some other phone then you need to get your SIM card replaced.

try to insert your sim to other mobile then do balance inquiry after you recived the message turn off your mobile remove the sim and insert it to your nokia 6500 mobile.

Either the SIM has not been put in properly or the SIM holder is faulty.

I had this with mine and had to get a new upgraded sim card from my network provider!

Place some folded paper (3,4,5,6 times) between the sim card and the sim card holder. It should fix it. I have an E65 and had this problems for two days after buying it. Since I fixed it 3 months ago, never had this problem again. Hope it works for you too.
