Hello. I have a couple who have continually been harrassed on Facebook going on 2 years now. Several people have "notified Facebook" of this behavior and Facebook has done nothing. is there a direct phone number or a tangible person who they can call to stop this. It is absolutely terrible the tactics this group of 6 people have been doing... And I am afraid the husband part of this couple is going to have a heart attack from the chronic stress and harrassment. Facebook was notified many many times and nothing happens. Facebook does not even acknowledge the notices that have been sent to them. This group is doing defamation of character - you name it. I personally feel Facebook has a responsibility to it's subscribers to protect them from this type of harrassment and I personally feel maybe this couple should contact an attorney and sue facebook for lack of policing these stalkers. That is an odd set of events. It is funny, we have seen this model crop up a number of times recently, You have done all the things I would have suggested. My only observation is that disconnecting power for the base station for 60 seconds is not really long enough to dissipate power and RAM memory. I would disconnect last thing at night and in the morning when you wake, press and hold the locator button for a minute to make sure all the power is gone from internal components. Then reconnect it to phone line and power.

change your facebook password and email passwords do not comunicate with them. once done report to facebook.

You should be able to:

Click on their Profile
At the top right of the screen, next to the MESSAGE tab is a little wheel with a drop down Menu
Click on the wheel and choose Report/Block
You can now choose to Unfriend them and Block them
Additionally, you can report the profile by clicking "My friend is harassing or bullying me"

In addition, if you have details of this person, you can go to the police. Not knowing where you are, I can't give you advice on how your legal system works in your country. In the UK you can report the harrassment and the police will visit the person and initiata a harrassment order against the person. Depending on the severity of what has happened, they have a power of arrest in the UK, even for a single message and a single incident, where they feel that arrest is appropriate. As I say, No idea what country you are in or how your laws of harrassment work, but regardless, I would advise you to talk to the police.

This is a Facebook update that went wrong. I'm sure they have been notified of this and will deal with it soon.

I suggest that you contact Facebook and report this incident. Information about how Facebook handles this kind of issue is available on this page.

There isn't an easy answer to this. First, clear your cache, you should find this option easily in your browsers menu bar up top.

If that doesn't work try refreshing the page a few times, leaving and returning to Facebook after a few minutes, or clicking on a Facebook link from a search engine like Google.

If this fails then check your connection speed. It seems unlikely but I've found that Facebook's behavior can be impacted by lagging internet connections. If everything's in tip-top shape then contact Facebook from one of your Facebook emails and notify them of the problem.

None of these are guaranteed to work unfortunately as this is more than likely a Facebook specific problem (server settings, site traffic and bandwidth issues, etc).

While you wait for a reply try using a different browser. If you're using Internet Explorer then install Firefox (http://www.firefox.com), Chrome (http://www.google.com/chrome), or Opera (http://www.opera.com). If you still have no luck then you'll have to wait for Facebook to get back to you :(

you will need to contact Facebook as all logon IP addresses are recorded by them you will need to solicitors to legally request the IP address of the users who is harrassing you . IP addresses linked to account details cannot be given out without a court order under the data protection act

You can report her messages. If she has several complaints against her, eventually she'll be kicked out.
Sometimes one single comment is enough if it is bad enough.

Choose stronger passwords..not less than 8 characters --include non-alpha numeric characters.
When he hacks into your account does he change the password? Or can you still use the account?

Alternative is to open a new FB account on another computer (he may have compromised your machine) that he has never touched. Use a variation fo your name that wouldn't be easy to guess. Change your privacy settings in FB so you cannot be searched for by non-friends.

Make sure that you do not friend anyone who is his friend on FB.
