I Have A Nextar gps it is a x3-08 is there some way I can get up dates for it ?

Your device runs Windows ce. So the only way to continue using your device is to switch software. There is a software that is compatible with almost every GPS in the world today. It is called IGO. Maps are available every 4 months for free. Search google for IGO and there are plenty of GPS sites that offer it for download. All you have to do is rename the IGO.exe file you your devices navigation.exe name. If you need further assistance I'll be glad to help.

My Santo NVM-4370 Easy Street having problems at start up...

It appears files on the internal ShellDisk is corrupted. The one that hosts all the Sanyo applications. Not the MyFlashDIsk that you see in WIndows when you connect the device to your PC.

If ShellDisk becomes corrupted then the device can still be restored but you need good data from another device.

The device can boot from SD card or from the internal flash disk (MyFlashDisk). After reverse-engineering it, it was found that it can launch except of \ShellDisk\Shell\PnaShell.exe the following files: \SDMMC\AUTORUN.INF and \MyFlashDisk\AUTORUN_USB.INF. In these files you need to specify the path of the file to execute plus a checksum at the end of the file. It has been configured them to run MioAutoRun.exe. You can obtain the file here:
http://www.gpspassion.com/upload2/Sanyo_NVM-4370_Autorun_files.zip. You need a copy of MioPocket 2.0 R44 or higher.

Createfile failed on INI file

Hi. I had the same problem, and i fixed it by creating a APShell.ini file wich was missing in MyFlashDisk\Shell directory.
In APShell file :

Version=1.0.2.43
Language=23
[Navigation]
Path1=\SDMMC\ROUTE66\R66n8.exe
Path2=\SDMMC\N8\Navigate8UI.exe
Path3=\SDMMC\ROUTE66\R66Navigate8.exe
Caption1=Navigate
Caption2=N8
Caption3=Navigate
ClassName1=
ClassName2=Explore
ClassName3=

reset device and it should work.

Nvx430bt jensen gps initialization error no language files

Hi.

This happens when the language files stored in your Jensen's memory get damaged. The Sat Nav system will look for new language files on your USB memory, and return the error.

Often the problem happens because you formatted the disk.

I suggest to start trying to set language to English.

In theory you are supposed to restore the flash image from original CD or computer backup.

A first attempt to fix the problem can be done resetting the Sat Nav. Just take out the battery for ten seconds.

If you have the original CD, files to be restored are in the IGO folder, and must be copied into the flash disk.

Files to be copied are

  • igolaunch.exe
  • IGOPATH.TXT
  • SettingsBackup.ini
  • TAHOMA.TTF
  • TAHOMABD.TTF

If that does not work, contact Jensen/Audiovox clicking here, they will enable a download of the language files to replace the damaged ones.
