That's part pf an answer. WHAT exactly are you feeding into it (audio, video, cable type, digital, analog??

Has it ever worked with this unit or another?

I'm feeding the device with analog audio signal from my satellite tuner. I use RCA phono plugs (white and red ones)

I tried the same by feeding the aux with audio signal from my Wii.
    Same problem.

Cables aren't broken. I verified that by using them with another device.

    regards

    Michel

How does it sound with onboard sources (CD/DVD/tuner?).

  • Anonymous Jul 27, 2010

To recap: you have an AUX input that makes unpleasant sounds when you attach the audio output of the SAT or iPod. What does it do with NOTHING attached and select AUX?

The "other device" you mention. What is it ? And if it has an analog audio output, could you use IT as the AUX source input as a test?

How to eliminate low level frequency hum when playing or recording through the AUX on ITRR501

Bad connection in the plug, bad grounding \ shielding on the wires and plugs. Pull the plugs one at a time until the hum stops. That identifies the lead. Check plugs and also if the wire is proximity to another EMI source. It can even be a fridge in the next room, so start turning off appliances.

The AUX button says SAT 1, SAT 2, AND SAT 3. It does NOT say AUX Line In and does not recognize anything plugged into the aux port. What can I do to get the AUX port working???

Make sure whatever is plugged into the Aux port is the proper size and configuration (2-lead, 3-lead; 3.5mm, etc) as far as the cable, is properly seated (not so big that it doesn't fit all the way in) and that the device is on. Most Aux inputs don't activate unless there is an active signal coming in.

My phone is not ringing when I get incoming calls, beeping when I get txts, and it won't go on loud speaker. The volume is high. Its set to normal profile, with ringing volume high. Please advise.

Some how your phone was reset or had the tone turned off. Just follow the below guide and your audio should come back on. I would do a soft reset (turn off the handset, remove the battery then reinsert) before performing the instructions.

Tone settings
To select a ringing tone for voice calls, select Tones >
Ringing tone.
To select a ringing tone for video calls, select Tones > Video
call tone.
To set the ringing type, select Tones > Ringing type. You
can also set the device to sound a ringing tone that is a
combination of the spoken name of the caller and the
selected ringing tone, when someone from your contacts list
calls you. Select Tones > Say caller's name.
To set the volume level of the ringing tone, select Tones >
Ringing volume.
To set the various alert tones, select Tones > Message alert
tone, E-mail alert tone, Calendar alarm tone, or Clock
alarm tone.
To set the device to vibrate when you receive a call, select
Tones > Vibrating alert.
To set the volume level of the device keypad tones, select
Tones > Keypad tones.

I have got a sh-eh500 technic stack stereo, I want to plug Y Cable so can put Iphone through speakers, where do I plug this cable on the back of stereo please? :)

As long as your lead has 2 RCA connectors ( These are usually one red and one white and look like a fat headphone connector with a tube round it) These will plug into the "Aux" connectors on the back of your Amplifier. Then select "Aux" on the Input selector on the front to listen.

Hope this is useful. Good luck.

The static level is so high I am unable to hear the radio.

Under menu, select FM frequency. Try using different frequency. A nearby FM station could be bleeding its signal onto the FM frequency your unit is using by default.

Want to connect IPOD or Aux Device to my Blaupunkt

It really depends on the company who produced the radio. I know with certain types such as Kenwood, you have to get an auxiliary module that hooks into a pin-out on the back of the radio. However, if it is selecting Aux already, you may have a powered connection, so I would try hooking into the back if there is a spot, and see if it works.

Scanner antenna causing static

Sounds like a bad, loose or dirty connection.
it's possible that there may be a broken soldered joint on the antenna connector.
Open up( power off first) and resolder the joints as they can breakdown over time(dry joint).

Aux input for sony car stereo (cdx c 5000r)

For Sony Stereos, you will need to get what is called a Bus Converter. The RCA ports you are trying to use are for a CD changer or alternate device like satellite or HD radio, and those have to have some sort of frequency signal to even be selected. You can find a Bus Converter that will allow you to use this as an Auxiliary input. The device you are looking for is called a Sony XA 300, and it will allow you Two extra Aux Inputs, I believe.

Poor low frequency

Nope, the circuit boards have nothing to do with transmitting frequencies. There are only 4 items on the Technics 1200 that transmit frequencies...

1) Stylus/Needle
2) Cartridge
3) Tonearm
4) RCA Cables/Leads

If you've already replaced 3 and 4, the problem lies with either 1 or 2. Or the RCA cables you replaced were not done properly, or you used poor quality cables. Double check the work.
