My Frigidaire Affinity dryer has started vibrating more and more during operation. Is the motor going bad or is there another problem?

Hi

Try the following to reduce the noise--

Washer is not resting firmly on floor. Move washer so it rests firmly on floor. Adjust leveling legs. NOTE: Some shaking of the washer is normal without moving across the floor.
• Shipping bolts and foam blocks have not been removed during installation. Check out the installation instructions for removing shipping bolts and foam blocks.
• Wash load unevenly distributed in drum. Stop washer and rearrange wash load.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Daniel

Error E52 on frigidaire affinity

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

Based off the information you have provided, I understand that your Frigidaire dryer is displaying an "E52" code and the dryer will not start. Typically an "E52" code stands for motor fault, I would attempt to perform a reset on your appliance by disconnecting power for roughly ten minutes. After the reset if you are still receiving the error code I would recommend having a professional come out to diagnose and repair the appliance. Best of luck. -Matt

Frigidaire electric dryer front load . Bad vibration

Good Afternoon David,

I understand you are receiving a bad motor vibration on your Frigidaire dryer. I see that you replaced the fins on the blower, only to have them break again. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing the vibration noise, as well as the blower fins to break. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Hello - From what you have described it sounds like you either have a problem with the belt, front and/or rear bearing, or a loose connection with the motor or drum. Won't spin

The start relay on the motor is bad and you will need to replace the motor. The relay is not sold separate. Here is the motor you need to order.

Have a Frigidaire Affinity dryer giving me a code E51. What does code mean

You are experiencing a motor relay failure. A professional needs to complete the following - If motor runs continuouslywith power applied, check for short circuit across motor relay (RL2), or L1applied to motor relay output (J3-1) with cycle stopped. If motor does notstart when Start key is pressed, check for open circuit between L1 and motorrelay connection (J3-2). If no wiring problems found, replace Main ControlBoard.

Affinity dryer less than 2 yrs. old will not turn. It hums, but the drum will not turn.

Please check if there's something stuck outside the rotating drum. Sometimes small cloth escapes out of the drum during drying and gets stuck in the rotating shaft. Just try to reach the back side fo the rotating drum inside and make sure that there's no cloth that's stucked inside. Please make sure that you unplug the cord first.
If in case that you did not find anything, you may have a busted capacitor or worse, the motor is defective. It could be that the motor windings are shorted or a bad bushing.
Hope this helps.

When i go to start my dryer model # aeq6700fso all it does is make a buzzing sound no heat and drum does not turn? i checked the belt is fine and motor spins freely by hand

If the motor is hummming or buzzzing it most likly the motor or a bad wire conection to the motor.

you can try to turn the drum by hand and retry to start the machine.. if this does work, you have a bad spot on the motor and if it does not and you can verify the noise is coming from the motor then the motor is most likley bad.
