Need power input wiring diagram for 230V use

I have an old Miller Dialarc 250AC welder(Ac only) that I have inherited. It has been hooked up to 575 volts since new, it is single phase and can be hooked up to single phase 230V 460V or 575V ...where the input cable connects to the terminal there are 6 studs and two jumpers which jump two terminals or four for whichever voltage you wish to use the paper wiring instruction for which terminals to jump has long since deteriorated and fallen apart....I want to hook this machine to 230V and require the diagram for the terminal jumpers thank you

What polarity do I use for tig welding aluminum, and what color electrode for miller hf-p dial arc

Your dialarc HF has a selector for polarity, DCEP (electrode positive), DCEN (electrode negative) and AC. DC TIG welding is done in DCEN only with the high frequency turned to start. When welding aluminum, you must be in AC with the high frequency turned to continuous. Other machines may be different, but that setup will be how you need to set that dialarc HF.

The old school tungsten recommendation has always been the green or pure tungsten when welding aluminum on AC with a transformer machine, which is what you have. However, pure tungsten will not be a good choice for inverter style machines or when welding other metals besides aluminum. So instead of having multiple types of tungsten running around in your tool box, I use the blue or 2% lanthanated tungsten for everything. I find that it has excellent arc characteristics on both AC and DC, you can also sharpen it to a point when welding on AC, which is very useful in directing the arc when tacking up your aluminum job or starting out at low amps.

I need a manual for a airco welder. Stock number1341-0266. Serial number hk220507. Thank you.

This was made by Miller. It is the same as a Miller Dialarc 250 ac/dc.. Go to www.millerwelds.com, then "service", then "owners manuals" then "search", and scroll down until you find the dialarc.

Need wiring diagram for aead 200-le miller charging system with stater under fly wheel

The wiring diagram for the charging system on a Miller Aead-200le Constant Current AC/DC Arc Welding Generator Gas Powered will be provided in the operator's manual for the machine. The manual will have detailed information on the wiring diagram of the charging system, including the connection and function of the starter under the flywheel.
It's important to refer to this manual for specific instructions and guidelines for the wiring diagram of the charging system. You can find the manual on the Miller website or you can contact Miller Electric and request a copy of the manual.
If you cannot find the manual or if you are not familiar with reading wiring diagrams, it's best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to provide you with the necessary information and help you troubleshoot the issue.

Welder wiring diagram

The number and location of connection points on a Miller welder when removing the welder and motor from its casing will depend on the specific model and year of the machine you have.
Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Check the manual of the welder, it should have a wiring diagram that shows the number and location of connection points on the welder.
  2. If you don't have the manual, you can find wiring diagrams for most Miller welders on the Miller website, you can download it from there.
  3. If you are not able to find the wiring diagram for your specific welder model, it may be necessary to contact Miller Electric and request a copy.
  4. If you are not familiar with reading wiring diagrams or if you are not comfortable working with electrical equipment, it is best to take your welder to a qualified Miller Electric welder repair service center, they will be able to provide you with the necessary information and help you troubleshoot the issue.
Please note that some models may have different ways of wiring, it's important to refer to the manual or consult with the manufacturer for further information.

Can you please tell me what the input power is for a Miller 250Dx in Australia? I know it has to be three phase but I need to know how many volts and Amps.

Your machine can be plug at different voltages from 220 to 575 V. All you need to do is change the position of the jumper links that are located on the back of the machine near the lead cable connector.

I have a miller thunderbolt 225v AC arc welder

The blank should be the grouDING conductor (green) and they may have a green screw to further indicate it.

Since the welder runs on 220, either of the hot wires can go to either of the other terminals (X or Y).. Those wires might be black, red, blue, brown.

There is a slight chance it would be white even though it is hot on the portable cord because some portable cord is used that way.

VERIFY the receptacle you connect to is wired correctely before connecting your unit to it.

What gage should the input wire be? I got this welder used and the input power wire is #12-3. Is that correct?

This is a 220v welder and input is high power…12/3 does not sound good to me when I am working with anything over 12v LOL...y for 220/230v do not use the same wiring as the one was on but better I will go lower to 8/3 “safe than sorry” …Let me know if that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so I can keep providing this service to everyone and improve on it. God bless
