To use an Ethernet phone you will need a VOIP supplier ( You will need to Google this for the country you are in ) . You will not be able to use it until you have these set up. Ethernet phones are not like a standard home phone which use your local exchange to route your calls they use servers on the internet to do that and route your call to landlines.
I hope this helps if so please give me a thumbs up

Unable to get an outside line / dial tone from my phone (KX-T7735-B) originally erroneously reported as a KX-T7335

If this is VOIP then the problem is with Comcast. The settings need to be set to recognize a two line phone. The long way around this is to find out the equipment they are using for switching from a digital to an analog signal and call the manufacturer for help.

can you explain me how is your phone connect to internet.
best on your Question its seems to me you cant hear a dial tone because of following one or more factors might apply
  1. you must log into the Extension Mobility service
  2. you must enter a client matter code (CMC) or forced authorization code (FAC) after dialing a number
  3. your phone has time -of-day restrictions that prevent you from using some features during certain hours of the day

When trying to fax i am receiving the message no dial tone. i pick up the receiver to my phone and i hear the dial tone. is there a pne number to call for tech support.

Without knowing the exact model, I am unable to direct you to tech support....A common problem that causes this is either the phone cord is plugged into the out instead of the in jack on the back of the printer. Another possible situation is that you have VoIP phone service (comcast, or vonage) which doesn't provide a true dial tone for faxing, in which case you would need a dedicated phone line for the fax.

Continuous dial tone on phone line . When i try to dial out- i just get a continuos dial tone- happening on my 2 cordless, landline is fine. Dont use a magic jack, changed out hardware, new cordless dont...

There are two possible answers to this problem. The first thing is to check on the cordless phones, is a 2 way switch, one setting is for DP=Dial pulse (setting for old rotary phones) 2nd setting is TT= Touch Tone. I would guess that the setting should be set to TT on both cordless phones for touchtone.
Second thing to do is to plug in the base unit of your cordless phone to a jack that currently has a landline phone plugged into it that works and test again. If cordless phone works OK then go back to the original jack that didn't work and reverse the wires in the jack: that is what is known as a "polarity" issue.

Dropped calls, and no dial tone on Panasonic Dect 6.0 phone

I am sure that is a service related issue and no the phone itself.

DIAL TONE CONTINUES DOES NOT CEASE

Have you tried plugging and then plugging the phone back in. This should discharge all static electricity.
I had the same trouble once. If you are using a service such as Comcast Digital Voice, then restart all equipment (this apply's to VOIP services also). if it still persist then try a different phone. If it still persist then contact your phone company and explain all the solutions that you have tried.

Faxing and receiving faxes

Hi, are you using the phone cord that came with your printer? If so, try a different cord if you have one. Can you plug a regular phone into that wall jack - does that work (dial-tone)? Are you using VOIP (like Comcast triple play), DLS or regular analog telephone service? If VOIP you may need to slow down your fax machine settings. Let me know how you make out. Good luck!
