My d-Link quit flashing. How do I reset it, or why

sometimes it is because of a stuck button, push-tap the buttons
and see if it does anything otherwise sorry.

remove all entries - run regedit delete all values from the adapter software and reinstall

Make sure the CD will work on your operating system. You didn't mention what O/S you have (Windows XP, Vista, etc) but not all software is compatible with all versions.

If you are running Vista, this model is not set up to run with anything later than XP.

At best, clean the CD carefully, making sure there are no scratches or fuzzy stuff on it, and give it another try.

It means you need to replace the battery. My wife's Inspiron did the same thing.
