Be Safe or don't do it....

On the side with the lint screen, remove the five screws holding the top panel in place. The sensor that needs to be checked in mounted on the radiator fins. Remove the sensor and 4 pin connector. With a pin, remove the loose fitting housing the "sensor"...a circuit board that "shorts" with condensation...check corrosion and look for component damage on the oft chance the circuit board was damaged by some inappropriate poking or mechanical failure. Reassemble and replace sensor...

For a short life span...or out of warranty and only at your risk (IF have significant other or kids or pets or human DNA... don't do this...) .. guide wire through screen notch and attach to outer screen. Build fortress around exposed sensor and talk to insurance agent for a special rider...seriously be careful.

Did you? Clean screen and GENTLY clean fins of lint, etc....(vacuum's brush head should do the trick...)

Taking all appropriate safety precautions.

...

Here's the 100,000 (yen) tip....with humidifier unplugged, hold down the power button (green button in lower center) and plug in the appliance.

Watch the LCD screen as it conducts a self test...and wha...lah!.

Should have a working humidifier!

(your welcome).

no really..."de nada". :"don't touch your moustache" "Doye toche moche"(?), "prego".

My dehumidifier is showing an E3 on the top and there is no water going in the bucket

E3 is a sensor error and some say cleaning the air intake filter can help. Others say the humidity sensor needs to be replaced.

I have a Blyss WDH316DC dehumidifier with E3 in display. What does this mean?

What E3 Means? This is simply an error code with your dehumidifier please.

It s not clear whether you can attempt to reset your unit or fix it on yoir own. So sorry about this.

It appears yoir unit requires repair by a qualified dehumidifier service technician.

You can exploit the warranty if this is still valid. Simply return to point of purchase with your original receipt

DELONGHI DH300P E3

The E3 Code, indicates that the air intake filter needs to be removed and cleaned. Be sure the unit is OFF and unplugged before removing the filter. Filter cleaning should be performed at least once every two weeks, as part of Routine Maintenance.

Our delonghi de400p dehumidifier shows an E3 error message. Customer Service says its a sensor but can't tell us what sensor. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 40 pint and a 50 pint that are very similar. The 40 pint has the e3 error. Experimenting with the 50 pint, I found if I disconnected a particular sensor I got the e3 error. That sensor is a little can with two black wires (smaller than a AAA battery but shaped like that). It is attached to the cooling coils so must be a temperature sensor. This is not the little circuit board sensor mounted in the middle of the radiator in a plastic box/clip thing.

I am now about to see that part to see if I can replace it.

E3 is flashing on display panel

Calling two service centers, they both indicated that the main circuit board needed replacing. This would need shipping the unit!!, part and then labor. I figured over $120 - not reasonable. I then took the unit apart and followed the wires from the compressor to the back of the unit. This is where the moisture sensor was located - upper left. You'll see this when you take the filter off. Anyway, I cleaned the face of this part with a old toothbrush, used some compressed air to remove any dust. I then followed the wires with the black sleeve that went to what I think is a temperature sensor - also on the left. The wires go to a sensor that is pushed into a copper tube that is part of the cooling tubing. Gently pull this out, wipe it down and re-install. I then plugged the unit in, set the humidity level and it now works. I just put the unit back together and the compressor is turning on and collecting moisture! I will run it a few days and keep checking on it to make sure it doesn't go into the 'E3' Mode. By the way, the repair shops I called really didn't have a clue what the E3 code was. Dennis
