Go into your applications folder. Open your "System Preferences" - then look at the top for a flag icon that say's "Language and Text" - this will take you to a window that gives you many options for using different languages. Hope this helps.
You need to use the remote to go to the setup menu and set the language to English, or if you are in the USA set it to US English, which is different from English.
Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Regional and Language Options.
Once in the Regional and Language Options, click the Keyboards and Languages
tab. If you see a drop down list of languages, see if it is set to
English. If not, set to English. However, if you do not have this list
there, you may need to install it.
The problem is not from the battery you changed. It should be from the sim card you changed. The phone's language is set to automatic, therefore it reads sim card languages automatically. To rectify this, since you do not understand spanish: Option 1 -Put back the english sim then go to settings, and set your default language to English only
Option 2 -Send me your phone name and model so I can give you a reset code THANKS. HOPE THIS HELPED.
Go to Control Panel click on the Regional and Language Options Icon and change the current format to English..... My understanding of the words in Spanish to do this is not much different than the English, so it should not be to hard to change.
That's funny. Guess you need to brush up on your Spanish! Here's how to fix assuming you have a 260 or 260w:

This may be a result of a previous software
version on a device or possibly some one changing the settings. If a device
does power on with a foreign language that you can not understand it can be
corrected by going through the settings to change the text language. To change the text language:
Touch Wrench icon
on the screen with the Magnifying Glass and Map icon
Touch the Gears
icon
Touch the down arrow
Touch the second
option from the top1
Touch the middle blue
box on right
Touch the up arrow
until American English appears2
Touch American
English
Touch OK
Touch Back
The device should be in selected text language. Note 1 - In some cases, if there are Custom POIs
loaded to the device then it may be the first option at the top. Note 2 - If American English is not the language
needed, please selected the desired language
I have a CX6400 and I don't know if this helps but it's worth a try: Press the setup button and the screen starts with #1 option. by pressing the top lit green button to the left of the screen, it will go through the remaining options with LANGUAGE as option #7 saying to press the color button. Press the color button, and the bottom right portion of the screen shows the language options, starting with English. By pressing the lower lit green button to the right of the screen it goes through the languages that you have to choose from. When you see the language you want displayed on the screen then you press a button under the screen that says OK. Hope this helps!
Oh boy that's a real problem. I guess the menu is there but you don't understand it because it's in Spanish.
I don't know this particular phone but thinking logically, there are four things I would consider.
1) Find someone who can speak Spanish, there are lot of people who can.
2) Find someone who has the same phone that is in English and copy the key presses.
3) Use Google language tools to help you interpret the Spanish menu
4) Take you phone to a dealer
