I can get games to load but they glitch out when im playing

i got the same problem only with my ps3 it froze while i was playing black ops online so i turned off the power n after i restarted my ps3 he could not read any game discs anymore, im now busy with reformatting my ps3 i dont know about the xbox but maybe u also have the abbility to reformat ur system if so do it but put ur saved files on a usb stick or on somthing els cus u will loose everything but ur system gets a clean start and it checks for system errors wich come by shutting off the power wile it was not ment to and fixes them

This means it's loading your Game Data. There's nothing wrong with this appearing on the screen, it's common and simply indicates that it's loading your last saved state.
If it's stuck on that for a long period of time and not taking you into the game, then you need to go into the Saved Data Utility on your PS3 and delete your saved data file for Gran Turismo 5. Something might be corrupt.
Gran Turismo 5 uses a lot of the PS3's power, so having longer than average load times doesn't mean something is wrong with your PS3.

Well it has happened to me before so I cleaned out my console and my game packs out with qutips and rubbing alcohal and compressed air to clean the console out. Mine worked after I cleaned the console and the game packs out or it needs a new pin connecter then I changed the pin connecter on mine and no more freezing or it could be the capacitors that are causing the problem then

USE A DISC CLEANER DISC AND TRY OPENENING UR PS2 AND BLOWING IT OUT

I would say it's NOT a PS2 problem ..it's the legacy game..software glitch in the game program itself.

I don't know if the disks have a flaw but if you tried two brand new games both with freezes is sounds like it's your 360.

if your playing the campaign mode you can't change the time only with multi player

You need a new game that is a glitch. and you can't do anything about it except get a new one.

maybe ur hard drive is full. Might want to delete some stuff.
GTA4 takes a good 3-4 minutes to load too, depends on the game i suppose.

I have had this problem numerous times. It's a glitch in the game, best I can figure. It corrupts your saved game. You might be able to go back to an earlier save and play from there. But the best solution, if that doesn't work, is to take out the game disc, turn on the ps2, click on Browse (with your memory card plugged in) and delete the Vice City file(s) on there. Then put your disc back in and start over from the beginning. It sucks, I know. I've had to do it. And once I was almost to a 100% completion. Bleh. =( Sorry.
