Ive had my laptop for a little over a year and it started to act crazyy about 5 months ago and i havent been able to use it sence....i sent it in to be fixed because when i was still within my warranty.they claimed they fixed it but it was still freezing badly.ive erased it several time and i still have the same problem ! this is very frustrating and i need HELP !!!!!! please help me
Hi,
I feel sorry to hear that.
This is the solution.
Some of these products having an unusual malfunction with their processing units (CPU) not because of the bad processor but mostly for its Capacitor malfunction which supports and regulates its voltage. I presume your laptop processor works on 0.091Volts to 1 volts that make this laptop slower. You can check by going through to the back of your laptop processor when you see this (NEC Tokin) part then you have to replace it with the new one or you can replace it with SMD capacitor.
Hope this will answer your question.

Hi quinho_bs ,
Follow these steps :
Step 1, does the laptop gets "heated" before it starts behaving abnormally ??
If your answer is yes , then do not keep your laptop on a soft surfaces like beds or on pillows .Keep the laptop on hard surface (like on desk or on floor)
Step2 , Do you have a updated anti-virus on your system ?
If Yes, then had you ran a full system scan . If no , then please download a free anti-virus software from this link..

I am sure these 2 steps will help.
Goodluck :-)

Hi
When you first turn the machine on hit F2, that will take you into the bios menu, i don't know what version your machine is using, but the information is usually on the first page, you should find it easy enough because it will be next to the CD/DVD drive.
SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5610 freezes when loading when it starts up
assuming that u r a professional,
try open in the safe mode..press F8 rapidly/briskly while booting up..
often happens due to cpu over heating and or software corruption..check if not too dusty..
listen for any noise emitting(eg. 'tik tik' or 'kirr kirr') by the hdd..
if window opens up in safe mode..check the size of virtual memory..try increasing..
unload some unnecessary software..
do a through virus scan using a licensed and updated antivirus (i prefer avg/kaspersky)..
download, install n run microsoft kb890830..
if windows is not loading at all..reinstall os..probably ur ram/hdd is faulty or small in size..replace with a standby n see..
the above often take place with some error message(s)/blue screen..
but
if there's no such displaying, esp if hangs/stops/power off during
installation, it may b caused by the main/mother board or even the
battery..
..contact ur system admin/vendor....

This was taken straight out of the manual for your model, which can be found here.
Acer eRecovery Management
Acer eRecovery Management is a tool to quickly backup and restore the system.
You can create and save a backup of the current system configuration to hard
disk, CD or DVD. You can also backup/restore the factory default image, and
reinstall applications and drivers.
Acer eRecovery Management consists of the following functions:
1 Create backup
2 Burn backup disc
3 Restore and recovery
This chapter will guide you through each process.
Note: This feature is only available on certain models. For systems
that do not have a built-in optical disc burner, plug in an external
optical disc burner before entering Acer eRecovery Management
for optical disc-related tasks.
When using Acer eRecovery Management, you may be prompted to enter the
Empowering Technology password to proceed. The Empowering Technology
password is set using the Empowering Technology toolbar or when first running
Acer eLock Management or Acer eRecovery Management.
Create backup
You can easily create full and fast (incremental) backup images of your system
configuration to hard disk from the main Acer eRecovery Management screen.
Note: Fast (incremental) Backup is only available after a Full
Backup is made.
1 Press <Alt> + <F10> or select Acer eRecovery Management from the
Empowering Technology toolbar to start Acer eRecovery Management.
2 In the Acer eRecovery Management window, select the type of backup you
want to create using Full or Fast.
3 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.

Burn backup disc
Using the Burn Disc page of Acer eRecovery Management, you can burn the
factory default image, a user backup image, the current system configuration,
or an application backup image to CD or DVD.
1 Press <Alt> + <F10> or select Acer eRecovery Management from the
Empowering Technology toolbar to start Acer eRecovery Management.
2 Switch to the Burn Disc page by selecting the Burn Disc button.
3 Select the type of backup (factory default, user, current system,
application) you would like to burn to disc. Choosing to burn a user backup
will burn your most recently created backup image to disc.
4 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.
Note: Create a factory default image when you want to burn a
bootable disc that contains your computer's entire operating
system as it was delivered to you from the factory. If you wish to
have a disc that will allow you to browse the contents and install
selected drivers and applications, create an application backup
image instead — this disc will not be bootable.
Restore and recovery
The restore and recovery features allow you to restore or recover the system
from a factory default image, from a user created image, or from previously
created CD and DVD backups. You can also reinstall applications and drivers for
your Acer system.
1 Press <Alt> + <F10> or select Acer eRecovery Management from the
Empowering Technology toolbar to start Acer eRecovery Management.
2 Switch to the restore and recovery page by selecting the Restore button.
3 Select the backup point you would like to restore from. You can also
choose to recover the system from a factory default image, recover from a
previously created CD/DVD or reinstall applications and drivers.
4 Follow the instructions on screen to complete the process.

Sorry. It seems that your battery is dead.
If your laptop is working fine on AC power only (with the battery disconnected), then your battery will need to be replaced.
Scan it for malwares. Uninstall programs that you don't really need anymore and free up space from your C drive by deleting unwanted files. Use ccleaner program for deleting temporary files and registry check up. You can download ccleaner for free by going to their website: http://www.piriform.com/
