I have had this phone since October 2009. Yesterday evening it was working fine but last night at 7:30ish it stopped recieving text messages. I didn't realize it until today though I just thought my texts weren't getting through to my friends because their phones were off (it showed the arrow instead of the check mark in the sent box) but then I experimented with a friend today; she would receive my text messages but I would not receive hers.

My husband recieved 6 messages last night at really odd hours saying he has recieved a message from skout but he says hes never even heard of it

try checking your message center number in the message settings to see if it is correct

its a common problem for much of the htc mobiles , even if u complain for the htc care they say they are trying to resolve it but thats not gona happen , i too had the same problem and just replaced it

your msg settings number may need to be re-entered again, seeing that you are a AT&T customer call the Helpdesk for further support on this issue...

hello blonde teen woman try calling the factory that made your tellephone number chip and talk with an agent.that agent will re-do your system

ur mobile keypad might got slight damage... since it got wet.... u can go to th authorised service centre for motorola an get ur keypad service.... so that ur prob get solved..... kindly rate me .... thank you....

Select Automatic

On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
