Unlike some other dryers that have knockouts on the side and allows the vent to come out the side I don't believe this one does. The air duct has the rear discharge outlet built right into it. Since it sounds like you don't have enough room to put a 90 degree elbow on the back of the machine, which would move the dryer out about 6 in, you might try one of those square duct dryer fittings. See link for example:
http://www.northlineexpress.com/itemdesc.asp?ic=5CO-89638&source=froogle&kw=5CO-89638. If you had to you could put this 90 degrees, and continue it out with retangular metal duct.

How to vent exhaust outside

bea12bfe-3a65-4764-8544-5bc63391c2dc.jpg9dbdeaa6-0b81-4926-ab21-2206dc8f6420.jpg6bfcce66-f35e-4950-b5c4-5ba9eff2c34c.jpgI usually choose an outside wall if possible to vent outside. You can buy a rear vent that is superior to a dryer vent. When this isn't possible you need a rectangular duct going up through your cabinet and up through your ceiling. hopefully you have an attic or you have to switch to a 5 inch tube going sideways (above your cabinets (if there is space) to the outside wall. If it goes into an attic you have to cut through the shingles to a vent made for bathroom and or hood vents. The motor and blower assembly inside your microwave is designed to turn to be front facing, rear facing or vertical facing. Just unscrew or break out the side that you need to vent through.

I have a GE Profile gas dryer and the former homeowner vented it into the gargae. I was to re do the venting and run it out side. Is there a maxium lenghth that I can run a dryer vent.

The general rule of thumb when it comes to dryer vents is the SHORTER and STRAIGHTER the run, the better the appliance will be at drying efficiciency. The more bends and rises you add to a vent line, the more resistance you add to the blower motor. If the blower motor cannot efficiently force all the lint and moisture out of the vent line it tends to accumulate and clog. This eventually leads to poor drying results and an appliance that will overheat the point of failure. Dryer vents that run into an attic or crawl space are generally the worst configurations. The blower fights gravity with attic installations and sags under a crawl space can create choke points that clog. The following link can give you some advice on the dryer vent installation recommendations:

Roughly...60 feet if the vent is just a straight. With each added turn, the maximum distance changes. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

How do you side vent the Kenmore 800 dryer? I cannot rear vent the dryer due to space limitations. I MUST side vent.

You will need to take the dryer apart, pull the drum out. Then at the bottom you will see the main discharge, take it off and insert a 45 degree elbow, you will need to then install hard venting to reach the knock out on the side. Be sure to use metal duct tape when sealing the venting to avaoid fire haz.

Is it possible to re-configure the rear vent on a Bosch dryer

Most dryers have that option but not on the left side. You will need to cut a hole in the left side dryer housing. Then you will need to dis-assemble the back panel of the dryer and disconnect the vent pipe connection inside the dryer. Then run the moisture vent into the dryer housing from the left side opening and connect it to the venting system inside the dryer. You might not be able to put the opening in the same spot as the right side so you should do a visual inspection inside the dryer before making the opening to verify nothing is in the way.

41780042990 Kemore electric dryer

you would need to "punch out the metal" , youl also need to remove the fron tof the unit(2 screws approx 3-4 inches down form inner panel, holding front panel on, ( youll need to remove the top of the dryer( a few screws across the back of unit.) andthen disconnect the dryer belt(easiest acess through a small acess panel on lower rear of unit, pull the dryer drum out and youl see the existing ve, just a matter of attaching a 90degree elbow and running vent out the side instead of out the back. DISCONNECT POWER TO UNIT FIRST!!!!!!!!!!
