Acer v223w

Right-click on the Desktop and select Screen Resolution. You most likely need to adjust something (resolution) on the screen presented. This assumes Windows Vista/7. If you are running WinXP, getting to the settings is different. However, it also could be the aspect ratio setting of your monitor itself if the setting is available in monitor's settings.

Yes, you can get a DVI or AVG connector and use those.

Acer v223w on and off

You could have a faulty power supply. If the capacitors have a blown (deformed top) then they are faulty. Replacing these capacitors with new ones may fix the problem provided nothing else is faulty. Make sure you replace them with the same voltage and capacitor rating.

I have a new Acer 22in v223w flickers

Check your power supply. IF it is through a UPS then try connecting directly to a main supply. If problem persists then look for a ACer service center immediately. There might be a problem with the panel.

Acer V223W monitor goes to sleep and doesn't awake

Go To Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Select "restore my computer to an earlier date". Look at the LIST of Restore points. Find the DATE when this "Security Update" was installed and Select the last date before it was installed and Follow the "Wizard" to Restore it to BEFORE the Update you think CHanged Things. Too many variables to figure out without seeing it to determine what was changed but that will correct the situation and you will not loose anything.

Resolution issue Acer V223w

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble....
THis is a tricky one. My first step would be to connect another screen to your G5 and connect your V223w to another Mac... Are you able to do this, do you have access to another system, could even be a PC ( in the worst case )
Ideally, having 2 screens connected to your G5 would be the best situation.
THis way, with one working screen, you can attempt to modify the resolution and refresh rates on the V223w from the good screen, be sure to activate screen mirroring, otherwise you will not have access to the other window of monitors system preferences.
If you can get two monitors connected and mirroring is not an option, then either your monitor is KAPUT or the video card secondary port is KAPUT, try switching the port of the card your displays are connected to. I think they are both DVI ports. If the opposite screen is now working, then you know it's the port on the video card.
Hope this will get you through it.
