Make sure you check fuses with a test light or ohmmeter, because just looking at them is not good enough sometimes.
Have you tried high speed, because the lower speeds use resistor packs that can burn out. They are between the switch and motor, usually in the air box. While there, you will be able to see if the switch is bad, if a test light shows anything. If there is power right at the fan motor, and ground, and it still does not work, it has to be the motor itself. But hope not, because hard to get to.

The heater fan on my 2006 GMC Sierra only blows to defrost. Directional control switch doesn't change it.

Most likely is your blend door is faulty (bad motor/broken tab?).
Defrost is the idle possition ( as it is the most important).
You may have a disconnected vacuum hose from the climate controle panel if you recently (ever?) had work done in the dash area...
But my suspicion is the blend door motor...

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra. The heat/defrost blower fan stays on when the ignition is turned off. The only way to stop it is to pull the fuse.

Sounds like the blower switch is shorted. Try running through the blower speeds to see if that changes anything.

2005 gmc sierra blower wont turn on

Check the fuse first thing. If the fuse it good then either the blower motor speed control switch, blower motor resistor pack, or the blower motor itself is bad. Normally the speed control switch rarely goes bad. If some of the speeds did not work prior to total failure then the resistor pack is bad. If that is not the case then apply 12 volts directly to the blower motor to see if it is good. If it runs suspect the resistor pack as the culprit.
