Ihave got a dvdxvideo combi plus a thomsons freeview box could you tell me how to plug it into the correct places please

Hi, a common problem with the thomson freeview boxes is capacitors leaking in the power supply, The ones that go usually are the two 1000uf capacitors. If any of the capacitors look deformed, ie the tops look domed in any way. I would change them , Handy if you know how to use a soldering iron. If you can use a soldering iron remember to put the new capacitor in the same way ( the wires are marked so you must put them in the same way round).

You would have to connect the free view box to the vcr with a scart lead.Plug it into av2 on the vcr.To record select av2 on the vcr then set the channel on the freeview box.

Telephoned Panasonic. Freeview box okay. Re-tuned both box and Samsung TV.

This could solve problem
1. Select Menu, Set-Up, Help.
2. Press the Green button on the remote control.
3. This shows the Advanced Information screen.
4. Now press the Blue button which will prompt you with a warning box.
5. Now press the Green button if you wish to proceed.
6. The DTR will take around a minute to complete the reformat, and will then automatically restart itself.
Next do a channel rescan.

in setup for guide plus U must enter the time and date along with UR correct post code and select freeview as UR input then the correct input route of UR freeview box ie EXT2 then proceed as instructed. also you must select program number 102 on you freeview stations for the eye to send signal to UR box .the eye for the guide plus must be placed directly in front of the freeview box by it`s remote control reciever.
