I have water leaking through the ceiling under where the Air con is. I have checked the drainage pipe and blown it clean but still getting water comng through the ceiling. Is there any wher else I can...
You need to determine if it is coming from your Air Handler. If it is, and you are confident that the drainage pipe is clear, then you could have a cracked condensate pan. I would suggest shutting the system off and opening it up to inspect the inside of your system. If there is ice present on the coil, check your filter and the cleanliness of the coil. If both are okay, call a contractor.....there could be a problem with airflow or refrigerant levels. If there is no ice present, check the bottom of the unit, if it is wet, it could be a leaking condensate pan (the part the drainage pipe taps into). You can shut the system off with the fan running and allow the inside to dry out......then begin pouring water into into the pan and watch to see if it leaks out...or if the unit is draining. If it is leaking, you should consult a contractor. Generally speaking, condensate pans cannot generally be repaired....and being that it is located in your attic, it's not worth the risk.
In Summary:
Ensure your air filter(s) is clean
Ensure your airflow is not impeded by closed or blocked off vents
Ensure your evaporator coil (located inside your unit) is not clogged with dirt/debris
Ensure your blower wheel is clean.
Ensure your condensate pan is not leaking.
If these steps do not help to correct the problem, contact a professional.
