You cannot downgrade a PSP once it gets past version 5.93, I only think it was 5.93 it was possibly lower than that.

There are a few possible causes for this issue. The most common are bad battery, burnt fuse, or a bricked PSP. If you were recently modifying your PSP then you will most likely need to get a pandora battery to install custom or official firmwares. If not the first step would be to try running the PSP with the AC power cord connected. If this works than there is an issue with your battery. From my understanding, you cannot view You Tube videos on the PSP because the PSP uses an older version of flash. If you install a custom firmware on your PSP, watching You Tube videos is possible; however, you run the risk of bricking (breaking) your PSP.

If you have the newest PSP, loading custom firmware is still hard to do. However, before undertaking such ventures, make sure you are aware of the risks.

Okay the cables you bought they have five plugs. I assuming your tv doesn't have component input only RCA connections (RED, WHITE, YELLOW). SO in that case you bought the wrong jacks. You may want to keep them anyway if you upgrade your tv. Because these "component" cables is the only way you can play video games on the big screen and also has to be hd, but it also will be able to play music, view pics, and watch videos. But that's a different subject.

You need to buy RCA cables for your slim. Keep in mind though you will only be able to watch movies, pics, and music. You won't be able to play video games. Once you have those it's not hard to connect. All you do is from the XMB menu go to display settings click on "switch video output" and it should connect from there. from your computer copy paste it to you psp, make sure that it is in the proper folder, for movies it must be in the movie folder and for music must be in music folder... and make sure that it is in the correct file name, for music it must be in mp3 format and for movies it must be in mp4 format. thanks

if i was you i would take into a professional shop because you have to remove all the umd drive and motherboard to get to the lcd screen

try to search on you tube - kr2008 for more details on how to play psp games on an interlace,non-progressive crt tv using composite or component av cable.this is now possible and thanks in no small measure to the plugin that was develped for this purpose.hope this helps.
