Playing ps3 game and quit - tried to load another

You may need to do a hard reset. Hold the power button for 30 secs and then wait a few secs and turn the system on. Hope it helps.

you had a software error, when you reset the system it re installed all the software. you got lucky had one that did that i reformated the hdd and still nothing put a disc in and it would just continuosly read the disc and nothing would ever come of it. the first set of PS3's had inferier blue ray drives and they tend to crash on the hardware end. if this happens sony has a refurb program for $150 you can send yours in and get another back that is refurbed...

Sounds like your trying to play the game with no disk ? when you put the game in that you want to play it will either load by its self or ask if you want to load. hope this helps rate me please

this is a symptom of blue ray lens failure (BDL)

if you are still under warranty, I suggest have the unit or BD (drive) replaced.

delete all MGS4 files in the Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility.

this happened to my friend once with his Motorstorm. he deleted all the Motorstorm files and it was now working ok

Your laser is bad and must be replaced. They are real expensive since the chinese new years. Email me and I can give you detailed instructions to change it.

Check the vents on you ps3. If those are blocked or even too close to a wall or something like that, the game will freeze.

the ps3 hard drive is very intuvative or to configure the probelm. The ps3 usally copys the game to the hard drive and save data continously with out any consent so your hard drive or memory bank maybe overloaded with info .

Try updating the firmware version or reseting the ps3.

Return under warranty.
the blu ray laser will have been slightly overheated and as a result will need to be replaced.
