If you can't return the camera for service, my advice would be to close the battery compartment with tape. Not pretty but better than buying a new camera, I've done it a few times on old cameras and apart from cosmetics, works fine. Just make sure to use enough tape so the batteries won't fly out when using it.

The clip on the door to the battery case is is broken. Where can I get this repaired?

You can visit, or contact a Fuji certified repair centre, close to you. For that use google and ask for repair centre close to or in .... your city.
Before sending the camera in, please ask what the repair will cost you, because it could be more expensive then buying a new camera, with better specs.

How to set shutter speed in fuji fine pix S2940

That depends on the exposure mode. In any of the automatic point&shoot modes you have no control over the shutter speed, the camera sets what it thinks is the proper shutter speed. In the P (Program AE) mode you can adjust the shutter speed by pressing the +/- button. In the S (Shutter Priority) and M (Manual) modes you control the shutter speed by pressing the +/- button and then using the cursor-up/down buttons.

My Fuji S1500 lens will not go in and out? It reads zoom error

Due to the tight tolerances inside the lense mechanism - small bits of sand or lint may become trapped in the mechanics.

It is advised to take the camera to a camera repair shop and have it disassembled and cleaned.

There are many small parts and intricacies that will render it totally useless if not done properly.

Fujifilm S1500 broken battery door

Yes, but you would most likely (don't quote me) have to send it back to the manufacture to get it fixed. That means $$$, is there a way for you to tape it on? You really only need the metal piece/plate touching the batteries.

Fuji s5100 batter door cover prongs are broken off.

I have the simple and cheap fix to a frustrating problem!
Just take a tripod base and screw it into the bottom of the
camera. The square tripod base is large enough to hold the battery
cover on the camera closed without any interference.
So there you go! No tape, rubber bands or other crazy contraptions!
Cheap, Quick and simple.

Fujifilm finepix s700 is not turning on

OK

First check the battery door to make sure that it is closed properly. If you have a media door (the door which covers where the media cards are inserted) make sure that is closed properly. If this is the case then check that there is no plastic broken off. The doors contact with microswitches which allow the camera to turn on.

On the camera there is also a playback button. (green triangle) If you hold this and the camera turns on then your power switch is faulty.

Failing all of this then put some power into the camera via an adapter. If the camera turns on then it is likelly to be a battery fuse.

In all instances you will need to send the camera to be repaired at the fujifilm service centre. Web address below.
